Joyce Jarvis Hughey, age 89, of Gallatin, TN, formerly of Princeton, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025, in Gallatin, TN.
Joyce was born December 5, 1935, to the late Shelby Glen Jarvis and Edna Withers Jarvis. She had a great love for music and attended Murray State University, where she was a member of a music sorority. She used her talent and love for music to teach to other students. Joyce was also a counselor for the State of Tennessee Department of Consumer Affairs. She was a member of First Christian Church in Princeton and was a 1954 graduate of Butler High School.
She is survived by her loving husband, William David “Bill” Hughey of Gallatin, TN; sons, David Hughey of Georgia and Bryan Hughey of Tampa, Florida.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
