Everyone knows that when a change happens, there is most of the time an adjustment period for those involved.
There is a group of students who will be experiencing a time of change in the upcoming weeks as they move from the middle school where they were the biggest students in the building to the high school where they will be the youngest ones. As part of the open house at the local high school on Tuesday afternoon, Principal Daniel Kukahiko and the staff at the high school set aside a part of the program to welcome the incoming freshmen and their parents. They wanted to make them feel at ease and explained not only about the beginning of the school year but what the next 4 years hold for them.
Kukahiko welcomed the group and introduced the guidance counselors, Jennifer Griggs, Sarah Heaton, and Jay Lynn Rowland, and they each shared information with those attending.

Kukahiko explained several topics to both the students and parents to assist them for the upcoming school years.
