Linda Faye Grant passed away at her home on Friday morning, September 5, 2025, following a long illness. With her at the time of her passing was her long-time caregiver, Retta Phelps.
Linda was born on December 27, 1941, to Maxine and Carlos Grant, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by an infant sister, her beloved brother, Gerald Grant, and her sister-in-law, Doris Grant.
Linda was a long-time member of Northside Baptist Church, where she played the piano and organ for many years. In her earlier years, she was also involved in the children’s choir. Linda enjoyed receiving the church bulletin each week and being visited by members of the church.
Employed at Cedar Bluff Rock Quarry, later Rogers Group, Inc., from the day after her high school graduation from Butler High School, Linda worked for over 55 years as a secretary at a job she loved. She developed numerous friendships with customers and the owners of the quarry. She stayed in touch with many of them up until the last few years.
There will be no public visitation.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Lance Nichols Cemetery.
