An Elkton woman is facing multiple drug charges after a traffic stop in Princeton over the weekend.
According to Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison, officers stopped a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Amanda Hall for an expired license plate on West Main Street around 8:30 Saturday night.
During the stop, officers said they detected the smell of marijuana, and a further investigation revealed that Hall was in possession of marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
Hall was arrested and charged with no registration plates, no insurance, an expired operator’s license, possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Caldwell County Jail.
In addition, police reported a passenger in Hall’s vehicle, 35-year-old Robert Baker, of Princeton, was issued a citation for an open alcohol container and possession of marijuana.
