Four additional candidates have formally submitted their paperwork to seek reelection in Caldwell County’s 2026 Primary Election.
Republican incumbent Sheriff Don Weedman filed for reelection on Friday, seeking a second term as he looks to build on the progress made during his current term.

Republican incumbent Jeff Boone filed his paperwork on Friday to seek a third term as magistrate for District 2, citing his focus on the county’s financial responsibilities and the upkeep of local roads.

In addition, Republican incumbent Brian Hicks filed on Friday to pursue another term as constable for District 2, while Republican candidate Bobby Joe Harper filed on Monday to run for magistrate of District 1 in Caldwell County.
