Caldwell Animal Shelter Serves Thanksgiving Meal (w/PHOTOS)

The Caldwell County Animal Shelter served a special Thanksgiving meal to the dogs at the local shelter on Saturday at noon.

This was the second year for the volunteers and staff at the shelter to gather and present a traditional Thanksgiving meal, complete with turkey and the fixings.

Animal Control Officer Kevin Lane shared that there was a larger number of people involved in getting the food together and placing the meal in individual bowls to be served to the dogs.

click to download audioLane noted there were 26 dogs at the shelter to enjoy the meal, and he was thankful for those who helped provide the food.

click to download audioRandolph is a longtime supporter of the shelter and has been a volunteer for the shelter and other animal support groups.

click to download audioLane served the meals to the excited dogs in their cages, and the meal was consumed quickly and completely as the helpers watched with thankful smiles.
