Lewis “Ed” Hill, age 82, of Providence, formerly of Princeton, passed away January 14, 2026, at Baptist Health Madisonville.
Ed was born July 3, 1943, to the late Adra and Edna Felker Hill. He was a faithful member of Trinity Global Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #559 Shady Grove, Shriner’s and Eastern Star. He graduated from Caldwell County High School in 1961 and later went on to attend Bethel College and Murray State University. He worked for 32 years as a Soil Lab Technician for the University of Kentucky Extension office in Princeton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Margaret Babcock Hill; daughter, Emily Young of Florida; son, Lewis Edwin Hill, II of Florida; sister, Shirley Cunningham of Tennessee; one granddaughter; several beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Paul Kevin Hill; sister, Anna Rose Hill Massey; brothers, Dr. Arnold Hill, Col. Leo Hill and Rev. Owen Hill.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home, with Masonic services beginning at 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow near Quinn Church in Caldwell County.
