Jerry Henry, 87, of Princeton

Jerry A. Henry, 87, of Princeton, entered Heaven’s gates on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Caldwell Medical Center.

He was born in Dycusburg, Kentucky, on December 5, 1938, to his late parents, Raymond and Reba Kinnis Henry. Jerry was a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for many years. He began working at U.S. Steel in Gary, Indiana, just one year after graduating high school, starting as an instrument repairman and later retiring as a general foreman of steam production after a long career with the company.

He enjoyed fishing, especially for crappie and blue gill, and took great care in maintaining his yard. Jerry was known as “Papa Jerry” and “Jer-Jer” to his grandchildren, who meant a great deal to him. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served as a gunner on the ENTAC Antitank Missile unit with the 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry, stationed in Germany.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 20 years, Brenda Henry; two daughters, Ilyana (Eddie) Perryman of Marion, Fanestia (Roy, III) Massey of Princeton; three sons, Mark (Janynne) Henry of Valpariso, IN, David (Greta) Henry of Baltimore, MD, and Paul Puskar of Australia; two sisters, Ramona (Don) Brasher of Franklin, TN, Shirley (Kenneth) Winters of Murray; eight grandchildren, Allison (Brandon) Long, Ryan (Stephanie) Henry, Alyssa (Pape) Lukk, Kyle (Taylor) Henry, Tessa (Tyler) Kessler, Roy (Tiffany) Massey, IV, Alexandria (Matt) Redd; seven great-grandchildren, Alya Long, Adeline Henry, Payton Henry, Bodie Lukk, Dawson Kessler, Miller Massey, Marlowe Massey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Diane Henry; sister, Mary Jane Watson; brothers, Kenneth Harold Henry, Russell Louie Henry, Gerald Henry, Raymond Henry, Jr.; and grandson, Preston Massey.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Noffsinger and Bro. Ronnie Sivells officiating. Burial will follow in Dycusburg Cemetery in Crittenden County.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
