Kentucky Utilities Outage Map
Power has been restored to hundreds of customers who were affected by an outage on Tuesday afternoon in Caldwell and neighboring counties.
Around 3;30 p.m. Tuesday, Caldwell County Emergency Management Director Joey McCaslin informed WPKY’s News Edge of a power outage in the Fredonia area affecting 280 customers in Caldwell and 98 customers in Crittenden County.
By around 4:15 p.m., the number of affected customers had grown, with the KU Outage Map indicating outages for 512 customers in Caldwell County, 136 in Crittenden County, and 20 in Lyon County.
By 7:00 p.m., the KU Outage Map showed that power had been restored to nearly all Caldwell County customers, with fewer than five still without service.
At this time, it’s unknown what caused the power outage.
