The Princeton Police Department is seeing more staffing changes, with one recruit beginning training as another officer resigns.
At Monday’s Princeton City Council meeting, Police Chief Chris King shared that a new recruit began training on Sunday, while another officer will be resigning to join a different police department.
click to download audioIn response to a question from Councilwoman Sheila Gates, Chief King said that Officer Baker lives in Calvert City and will be making about $6 more an hour than his current pay at the Princeton Police Department.
He said the department will be short two officers as of February 9th.
Chief King also noted that the police department made it through the winter weather without any major issues.
