Picture Book Lab- Part 1

Picture Book Lab is our new, four-part workshop series designed to guide adults through the process of creating a picture book, from the first spark of an idea to a finished dummy and next steps toward publishing.

Class 1 focuses on story development. We’ll talk about what makes a strong picture book, how to shape an idea into a compelling read-aloud story, and how to find the emotional core of your book. Through guided discussion and simple exercises, you’ll begin developing your own picture book concept and manuscript.

No writing or illustration experience required. This is a low-pressure, supportive space for curious creatives, educators, parents, writers, and illustrators.
