Raul Timoteo Villanueva, age 63, of Kuttawa, passed away February 14, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Raul was born August 31, 1962, in Recuay, Peru, to the late Rafael Villanueva Osorio and Rosa Angeles Salazar. He was a passionate professor at the University of Kentucky Research and Education Center in Princeton who enjoyed helping the farming community through his research. Raul cherished watching his son grow, but above all, his love for his family was the greatest joy of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife Zenaida, adored son Sebastian, devoted brothers Luis, Julio, and Rafael, and many other caring family members around the world.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Filca.
A memorial visitation will be held from 10:30 am until 1:00 pm Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Lakeland Funeral Home.
A memorial mass service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 21, 202,6 at Lakeland Funeral Home.
