A Kuttawa man is facing charges after reportedly brandishing a knife at a property owner during a trespassing incident in Lyon County on Friday afternoon.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that they received a call about a trespassing incident off Green Road around 2:15 p.m. Friday, where the initial complaint stated a neighbor saw a man trespassing on a friend’s property and witnessed him urinating in the open.

The witness reportedly yelled at the man to leave and then contacted the property owner. Authorities say the property owner arrived, located the individual on Green Road, and stopped to speak with him.

According to the report, when the female property owner asked if he was the person seen trespassing, the man became angry and pulled a knife from his waistband, brandishing it at her. The woman then fled the scene and contacted the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies report that 42-year-old Brian Goodson was identified using photographs and was later found at a residence off Kentucky Highway 810 South, where authorities also recovered a knife consistent with the description provided by the victim.

Goodson was taken into custody and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment. He was booked into the Crittenden County Detention Center.
