A Princeton man is facing charges after authorities say he attempted to dispose of suspected contraband while being processed at the Caldwell County Jail.
Princeton Police say detectives arrested 46-year-old Jonathan Hubbard shortly after 11:45 a.m. Tuesday when he was being processed at the jail to serve time, a deputy jailer saw him drop a baggie containing a white, crystal-like substance on the floor. Authorities say Hubbard briefly tried to hide it in his mouth before spitting it into a toilet and flushing.
Hubbard was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail and charged with tampering with physical evidence and first-degree promoting contraband.
