Two men are facing charges after a warrant was served at a home in Lyon County.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that 30-year-old Caleb Wellborn of Eddyville was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear after deputies responded to a Saratoga residence around 5:50 Sunday evening, March 15th.
While at the residence, Sheriff Brent White recognized 47-year-old Michael Reed of Calvert City, who was on parole for previous meth trafficking in Lyon County. He says Probation and Parole officers were called when it was determined Reed was violating his parole by associating with a convicted felon.
During a search of a vehicle, deputies said they found marijuana, methamphetamine, and several items of drug paraphernalia.
Reed was taken into custody and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance—second offense—as well as possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Both Wellborn and Reed were lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
