An Eddyville man was taken into custody last week on a warrant charging him with theft and using fake money at a business in Lyon County.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies served a complaint warrant on 35-year-old Brandon Ausherman shortly before 7:30 Wednesday morning, charging him with first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and theft by deception, including cold checks.
According to Sheriff Brent White, Ausherman is accused of passing counterfeit money at businesses in Kuttawa and is facing similar allegations in Christian County.
Ausherman was booked into the Crittenden County Detention Center.
