Janie Adams, 69, of Caldwell County

Janie Sue Adams passed away at the age of 69 on March 22, 2026, at Rivers Bend Retirement Community. Born in Princeton, Kentucky, on August 23, 1956, to her late parents, Donald Ray and Margaret Jane P’Poole Adams.

Janie grew up in a nurturing family. She was known for her loving nature, which was evident in the close bonds she shared with her siblings, Linda Hart of Paducah, KY, Vicki Fuller Smiley and husband Glen of Princeton, KY, and Robert Adams and wife Gena of Owasso, OK.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Ray Adams, Jr.

A self-taught artist, Janie had a talent for capturing the beauty of the world around her on canvas. Janie was kind and loving and extended this love to her nieces and nephews, Susan Hart, Shannon Hart, Brian Fuller and wife Christy, Amy Whitaker and husband Jon, and Zachary, Jordyn, Jacob, and Jackson Adams, great nieces Ainsley Whitaker, and great nephew Garrett Whitaker.

In 1974, Janie graduated from Caldwell County High School. She was a member of the Blue Spring Baptist Church, but was unable to attend because of her limited mobility. Janie was faithfully present for all services at Rivers Bend, including Sunday School, Bible Study, and special music services from the community churches. She also served as a resident council member for Rivers Bend.

Janie reflected the power of love and demonstrated her resilience, determination, and courage through a life of adversity. To all who knew her, she enriched their lives with her warm smile and compassion. The beautiful artwork she left behind and the impact she had on her family and friends will always be remembered. She will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her, yet her spirit remains alive in our hearts forever. Janie’s life reminds us all to embrace every moment with love, to nurture our talents, and to treasure the bonds of family and friendship.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Sivells and Rev. Mike Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Springs Cemetery.
