The Cave-In-Rock Ferry shut down around 11:20 this morning, Tuesday, March 31st, due to high winds.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials say the ferry authority will notify the public of its reopening via their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CIRFerry.

The ferry connects Kentucky Highway 91 with Illinois Route 1, providing a crossing over the Ohio River between Crittenden County, Kentucky, and Hardin County, Illinois.
