Funeral services for Joe Lewis, age 70, of Princeton, will be held Monday morning, July 1 at 11:00 at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Eddy Creek Church Cemetery with Military Honors.
Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home.
He was a Vietnam Veteran, a retired coal miner for Pyro Mining Company and owner of Lew’s Guiding Service at Lake Barkley. He enjoyed bass and crappie fishing, hunting and watching the occasional horse race. He was a member of the Elk’s Lodge #1115 and the local VFW.
He is survived by his daughter, Nichole Laffoon and husband Scott of Princeton; two sons, Donnie Joe Lewis of Princeton and Jonathon Lewis and Charity Beamon of Princeton; one brother, Larry Lewis and wife Molly of Princeton and two grandchildren, Kate Cartwright and Jacob Cartwright.
