Memorial services for Sammy Greg Thompson, age 63, of Princeton will be held Friday at noon at Goodman Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
Memorial visitation will be held Friday morning from eleven until service time at the funeral home.
Sammy was a veteran of the United States Army, a volunteer firefighter with the Princeton Fire Department, was employed with the Caldwell County School System, and was retired from Princeton Public Works Department.
He is survived by his wife: Polly Orange Thompson; two sons: James Robert Thompson and wife, Melanie, of Paducah; Dustin Wynn and wife, Lindsay, of Caldwell County; daughter of his heart: Abby Oliver and husband, Chance, of Caldwell County; two grandchildren: Emma Grace Koscho and Collin Wynn, both of Caldwell County; three brothers: Steve Thompson of Caldwell County; Stan Thompson of Clarksville, TN, and Sid Thompson of DeMotte, IN; mother in law: Velma Orange LaPradd, and husband, Sonny, of Princeton; several nieces and nephews; and his loyal canine companion Bo.
