In Celebration of National Athletic Trainer Month, Caldwell County Athletic Director Kim Farmer, Coaches, and athletes gathered yesterday to celebrate and show appreciation to Caldwell’s long-time athletic trainer, Mike Long.
Long was lured to the baseball field, surprised, and presented with a gift of appreciation that included handwritten notes of appreciation for his support and care from several of the athletes and coaches. Caldwell Athletic Director Kim Farmer says “Caldwell County is truly blessed to have him as our trainer, and we are in hopes this relationship will continue for many years to come”. Caldwell County Coaches call Long “one of the best in his profession” and said, “our small gift does not hold a candle to what he has done for us”.
Mike Long has served as Senior Athletic Trainer at Baptist Health Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation since 1997 and currently serves Caldwell County Athletes as Athletic Trainer.
