
For the second week in a row, Caldwell County continues to have the most active coronavirus cases in the Pennyrile District Health Department’s five-county district.
As of Thursday morning, the health department reports 103 positive COVID cases in Caldwell County. Of those, 101 cases are recovering at home and two cases are hospitalized. To date, a total of 1,459 cases have been confirmed in the county, 1,324 have recovered, and 32 deaths have been linked to the virus.
Last week, the health department reported 70 total active cases in Caldwell, including three hospitalizations.
Trigg County again has the second most active cases of the virus in the district this week with 64, including three hospitalizations, compared to 50 cases last week and no hospitalizations.
Elsewhere around the district, there are 54 positive cases in Crittenden County including six hospitalizations, followed by Lyon County with 32 cases and no hospitalizations. The health department reports 33 total active cases in Livingston County including five hospitalizations.
