The National Weather Service says the wintry mix of precipitation that is continuing to fall across western Kentucky is expected to create hazardous weather conditions as temperatures drop Thursday night.
West Kentucky weather continued on its wild ride Thursday, as freezing rain fell on all parts of the News Edge and Weather Edge listening area — and in considerable amounts.
Around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Pennyrile Electric officials were reporting two major outages in the Weather Edge area — in what accounted for more than 2,200 customers in the Trigg, Lyon, Caldwell and Christian counties.
As conditions continue to deteriorate across western Kentucky due to the ice storm, Kenergy is reporting a total of 70 outages affecting 3,566 members.
