Parents and students in the Caldwell County School District are being updated on drop-off and pick-up instructions to help make school lunch deliveries go as smoothly as possible.
Director of Food Services Will Brown says that a few of the drop-off locations will begin receiving meals at a different time starting Wednesday, March 18th, including Dotson Park, which will now receive meals at 11:20AM, City County Park, which will now receive meals at 11:17AM, and Cooper Circle office, which will now receive meals at 11:30AM. Brown adds that those picking up meals should look for a Caldwell County School Bus during the designated drop-off time but notes that those at Princeton Apartments should look for the Caldwell County School District Suburban. He is also asking that students please be at the drop-off locations before the designated delivery time as school staff will wait no longer than 10 minutes past the scheduled drop times for students to arrive. This will prevent them from being late to other drop-off locations. For those receiving meals at their residence, please be awaiting delivery and listen for a honk, staff will not deliver meals to the door.
Brown states that only students will receive meals, no meal will be given to an adult without the student present, and indicates that if a student does not pick up a meal three days in a row they will be removed from the list and will have to sign up again.
Brown notes that the school will continue to take orders daily beginning at 7AM, however, any orders received after 9AM will not be served until the following day. Parents are being asked to call each child’s school to place them on the list and indicate their name, contact number, and number of the desired pickup location. The list of pickup locations, their numbers, and designated drop-off times, as well as the numbers to each school’s kitchen, can be found below.
