101st Airborne And Ft. Campbell Cancel Week Of The Eagles

The annual week-long event, The Week of the Eagles, that celebrates the proud history and tradition of the Screaming Eagles division at Fort Campbell has been canceled due to safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The week-long event was scheduled for May 15-May 20.
Commanding General of the 101st Airborne Divisions and Fort Campbell, Major General Brian Winski says it was a difficult decision to cancel the event but the safety and health of the soldiers, their families, and veterans must remain the Army installation’s top priority.
Fort Campbell officials say there are plans to incorporate some of the Week of the Eagles signature activities into other events later this year. Those activities include the Fort Campbell Boot Display, Retiree Appreciation Day, Division Run, Division Review, and Air Assault competitions.
Officials say even though the Week of the Eagles was several weeks away, the decision was made now to account for planning and travel considerations.
