Registration for King’s Kitchen Summer Feeding Program Open Now

Parents and guardians are being reminded that now is the time to register their children for King’s Kitchen Summer Feeding Program to ensure they will receive food during the month of July.
Director Lee Anne Gilkey says the feeding program will be different this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, instead of home-cooked meals three days a week they will be providing kid-friendly foods for pickup once a week.

She adds parents or guardians can begin picking up food each Monday at 10AM.

Those picking up food are being asked to enter the Southside Baptist Church parking lot on the Wood Street side, pull under the canopy to pick up food, and then exit on the White Street side.
Gilkey notes parents or guardians can sign children up by contacting her at 270-625-4627.

She explains all children need to be signed up by June 22nd in order to receive food July 6th.

WPKY will be hosting a food drive Friday, June 12th from noon until 5PM at our studios located at 1035 West Main Street in Princeton to help raise much needed food for distribution this July. A full list of needed items can be found here. Needed food items can also be found in a display at Food Giant, located at 410 East Legion Drive in Princeton.
