A state highway in Caldwell County was blocked for several hours following a semi accident Monday evening.
Caldwell County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Chris Noel states just after 4:30 deputies were dispatched to reports of a semi accident near the intersection of Highway 128 and Highway 91. He adds further investigation at the scene determined 53-year-old Thomas Vickery of Princeton was en route for ILG International Logistics Group hauling flour on Highway 128 when the tractor trailer’s wheels dropped off the roadway hitting a concrete culvert, causing the axles on the trailer to break.
Deputy Noel notes crews were on scene until just before ten offloading the flour so the semi could be removed from the highway.
The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Stinnett Towing, Caldwell County Emergency Management, and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet personnel.
