Caldwell County High School Celebrates Prom (w/PHOTOS)

The Caldwell County High School Prom was held Saturday night at the Community Activities Building on the high school campus. The theme for the Prom this year was “The Oscars,” with the gym decorated according to the theme. The night began with the traditional Grand March held in the gym before the Prom. The Grand March gives parents and community members a chance to view the sharply dressed students as they are introduced and make their way through the assigned path. The doors to the gym were opened at 6:30, with a large crowd already lined up to get their seats to see the presentation of students. The Grand March began at 7:00 and lasted almost an hour before the last student made their way around the path. At the end of the Grand March, the announcement was made of the Prom King and Queen, with Max Ortt and Grace Oliver being crowned as King and Queen. Parents and guests were then allowed 20 minutes to gather on the gym floor and take pictures and visit with the students before the actual Prom began.

Caldwell County High School Assistant Principal Bradley Stallins noted the students and staff had been busy all week preparing the gym for the night and were excited to give those attending an enjoyable night.
