At Tuesday morning’s meeting, the Caldwell County Fiscal Court approved the upcoming year’s budget and handled a range of business matters, including board appointments and tax settlements.
Following a budget workshop held during the regular meeting, magistrates gave first-reading approval to a budget totaling more than $15.8 million.
During unfinished business, magistrates accepted a $40,000 check from County Clerk Jennifer Hale as part of the County Clerk’s Office 2024 fee settlement.
In other new business, magistrates approved the reappointments of Stacy Menser and Tiffany Massey to serve another 4 year term on the George Coon Public Library Board of Trustees; approved the Sheriff’s Limestone and Franchise Tax settlements; and the jail’s policy and procedure manual, and inmate rules and regulation manual.
