County Officials Clarify Guidelines, Insurance for Street-Legal Special Purpose Vehicles

Caldwell County Sheriff Don Weedman explained that insurance requirements for street-legal special-purpose vehicles are the same as for any vehicle driven on a highway. As reported on Wednesday by WPKY’s News Edge, the ordinance approved by county magistrates applies only to unincorporated areas of the county and does not cover the city limits of Fredonia and Princeton, which require separate action from those municipalities. The ordinance will not take effect in Caldwell County until it receives approval on a second reading.
