Fredonia Couple to Lead 60th Annual Lions Club Summer Festival Parade

Matt and Angie Prowell have been named as the grand marshals for the upcoming parade to kick off the annual Lions Club Summer Festival set to take place on Saturday, August 9.

Angie shared with Your News Edge that she and her husband are honored to be chosen for this role.

click to download audioMatt grew up on his family farm in Fredonia, while Angie moved to the area after they were married. The couple are members of the Fredonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church and have been longtime members of the Fredonia Lions Club, as well as being active in community events. They have one daughter, Bristyn Prowell.

Angie said the annual parade is scheduled for Friday, August 8th, at 6 p.m.

click to download audioShe explained that the festival is the organization’s only fundraiser for the year and added that there will be plenty of fun activities for everyone to enjoy.
