Caldwell School Board OKs Tech Upgrade, Presented Attendance Reports

The Caldwell County school board approved next year’s working budget, moved ahead with technology upgrades, and received a report on student attendance.

At Monday night’s meeting, White reported steady attendance gains over her two years and shared each school’s rates since classes started last month.

During action items, the Board approved Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Roach’s recommendation to purchase a new $96,428 intercom system from Audio Enhancing for the middle school, replacing the 34-year-old system.

click to download audioRoach said the system includes a 10-year warranty and should be installed within 6 to 8 weeks.

The Board also approved a working budget of about $24.5 million for fiscal year 2026, which Dr. Roach noted would require two more approvals before final submission to the Kentucky Department of Education.

The meeting took place at Caldwell County Primary School. During the session, Board members enjoyed a presentation delivered by the school’s second-grade students.
