At Tuesday’s Caldwell County Fiscal Court meeting, Judge-Executive Kota Young announced plans for a public hearing related to the proposed judicial center and shared an update on a grant application for a proposed walking trail along U.S. 62 in Princeton.
During the judge-executive comments, Young, who chairs the Caldwell County Project Development Board, read a public notice he had received from the state announcing a public hearing on the proposed Kentucky Court of Justice Facility, scheduled for Tuesday, February 10th at 6 p.m.
click to download audioAfter reading the public notice, Judge Young provided an update on the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) application for the shared-use path project along US 62, sharing that he’s hopeful it will be ready for submission at the end of the day on Tuesday.
click to download audioThe Fiscal Court began pursuing the Transportation Alternatives Program grant in December 2024 when magistrates approved Strand Associates to help with the application. During that meeting, Judge Young explained the planned location of the walking and bike trail along US 62 and its importance.
click to download audioAt that meeting, Young noted that the City of Princeton had agreed to pay half of the cost for the task order with Strand Associates.
The next regular meeting of the Caldwell County Fiscal Court will be Tuesday, January 27, at 9:00 a.m.
