Caldwell EM Reports Only Minor Incidents from Overnight Winter Weather

Emergency officials in Caldwell County report that impacts from the overnight snowfall and sleet have been minimal, with only minor incidents and no serious disruptions at this time.

As of 12:00 p.m. Sunday, Caldwell County Emergency Management Director Joey McCaslin reports that despite ongoing snowfall and sleet overnight, there have been no major issues, with crews only responding to two minor, non-injury slide-offs on the interstate Sunday morning.

He says there has been just one ambulance run so far.

McCaslin also says that there have been no power outages due to the winter storm.

According to McCaslin, as of midday Sunday, road crews estimate the county has received around 5 inches of snow topped by about an inch of sleet.

If anyone in Caldwell County needs assistance during the winter storm, McCaslin says to call the non-emergency Dispatch number at 270-365-7860.
