Judy Ann Talbert Long, 80, of Dawson Springs, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, at her home.
She was born on December 8, 1945, in Springfield, Tennessee, to her late parents, George and Mary Elizabeth Talbert. Judy worked as a farmer and later at Flynn’s Sewing Factory. She was a faithful member of Red River Assembly of God. She found joy in growing tomatoes and marigolds, making homemade dog food, and feeding hummingbirds. Judy cherished simple moments, morning coffee on the front porch with her daughter, Janie; trips to Walmart with her granddaughter, Leslie; cooking for her son-in-law, Terry; and long talks with her sister-in-law, Vicki, and granddaughter, Jennifer. She was the rock of her family and never met a stranger.
Judy is survived by her two daughters, Martha Long of Bowling Green, Janie (Terry) Dearing of Dawson Springs; one son, Robert Long of Russelville; sister, Nell Rawls of Springfield, TN; five grandchildren, Leslie Long, Jessica Martin, Jennifer Martin, Joanna Long-Flener, Jasmina Martin; three great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Adonnis, Atlas.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Randy Talbert; two sisters, Joyce Mink, Gara Farmer; four brothers, Joe, Billy, Bobby, and Jerry Talbert.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in Dearing Cemetery in Caldwell County with Bro. Bobby Noel officiating.
