Shella McGregor, 80, of Princeton

Shella R. McGregor, age 80, of Princeton, KY, and originally of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on May 10, 2026, at Princeton Nursing & Rehab, Princeton, KY. She was born April 20, 1946, to Alvin Goodaker and Martha Magdaline Martin Goodaker. She was a devoted member of her beloved church, Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church. Ms. McGregor worked at Ottenheimer Manufacturing in Dawson Springs for 17 years, and she and her husband were in charge of the maintenance of the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a Certified Nurse Assistant and set privately with people.

Ms McGregor was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and she was a devout Christian. She loved singing, writing songs and poetry, spoiling grandkids, and attending every activity they were in. Additionally, she loved watching sports.

Shella R. McGregor is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Monte & Brenda McGregor of Lawrenceburg, KY; her son-in-law, Steve Kukahiko; eight grandchildren, Daniel (Kayla) Kukahiko, Sara (Travis) Ruble, Ryan (Heather) McGregor, Nathan (Abby) McGregor, Jonesy (Dylan) Satterly, Anna Grace McGregor, Brandon McGregor, and Faith McGregor; and two great grandchildren, Hadley Grace and Everlee Kate Kukahiko; two nieces, Lucretia (Richard) Faughn and Wendy (Jeremy) Priddy and a nephew, Kerry (Tina) Oliver.

Ms McGregor is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 58 years, Dennis L. McGregor; a wonderful daughter, Martha Denise Kukahiko; twin sister, Shanna Oliver; and sister, Shirley Bivens.

There will be a public visitation held in the honor of Shella R. McGregor on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY, with Rev. Johnny Davis, Rev. Chad Oliver, and Rev. Shaun Thurby officiating. Burial will follow at Creekmur Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include: Daniel Kkukahiko, Travis Ruble, Ryan McGregor, Nathan McGregor, Brandon McGregor, and Jonathan Chewning. Honorary pallbearers include Steve Kukahiko, Kerry Oliver, Jeremy Priddy, Richard Faughn and Chris Baird.
