A Tennessee woman was taken to the hospital after a collision with a deer on Interstate 24 in Caldwell County on Monday.

Caldwell County Sheriff Don Weedman says the crash happened on Interstate 24 eastbound at the 57-mile marker, roughly 11 miles south of Princeton, when 67-year-old Stephanie Henley of Goodlettsville could not avoid a deer that entered the roadway, causing her SUV to come to rest in the median.

According to the report, Henley was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision, and all airbags in the vehicle deployed during the impact.

Authorities say that Hensley was taken by family members to Skyline Medical Center for treatment.
