Drivers in Lyon County should prepare for a temporary closure on Lake Barkley Drive this Thursday.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Rivercrest Engineering plans to close Lake Barkley Drive—also known as KY 295—near the intersection of U.S. 62 from 8 a.m. until noon Thursday.
The roadway between U.S. 62 and Beech Street will be shut down to allow crews to use a crane to unload a large concrete structure.
Officials say traffic on U.S. 62 will not be impacted.
The work is part of a regional project to interconnect water districts serving Lyon County, Eddyville, and Kuttawa.
