Caldwell County Spared Major Damage from Overnight Storms

Caldwell County officials say the community managed to escape major damage as severe storms swept through western Kentucky overnight.

During Tuesday morning’s meeting, Emergency Management Director Joey McCaslin told the Fiscal Court the county “dodged a bullet again.”

click to download audioHe mentioned that some residents took shelter at the courthouse, and the only incident reported in the county during the storms was a single downed tree.

click to download audioAccording to McCaslin, heavy rain and strong winds were reported as the storm moved through the area after midnight.
