Two key bridges in Lyon County are back in service following months of construction.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced Tuesday afternoon that KY 829 has reopened to traffic north of KY 93. The bridge over Panther Creek had been closed since mid-January for a total replacement. Officials say final paving and striping were completed earlier in the day on Tuesday.

The bridge project represents a $445,000 investment in the county’s infrastructure.

Additionally, state officials said the Ferguson Road bridge near the Caldwell County line has also reopened. Lyon County was awarded $530,747 for the bridge replacement project through the County-City Bridge Improvement Program.
