Officials at Pennyrile Forest State Park have announced that Friday, May 22, is opening day for both the beach and the boat dock.
Park officials welcome everyone to celebrate the start of the summer season at “The ‘Rile,” with beach hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and boat dock hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
They say a special Beach Blast event is planned for Saturday and Sunday, featuring family-friendly activities. The event is open to the public.
