Three New Covid-19 Cases Confirmed In Kentucky

Three new cases of Covid-19 or Coronavirus were confirmed in Kentucky by state government officials Sunday afternoon.

Governor Andy Beshear says two positive cases were confirmed in Jefferson County, with a third case in Clark County.
Governor Beshear announced Sunday while the state’s first patient fully recovered from the virus, he continues to take aggressive action to protect Kentuckians.  He says another of the 21 patients is in critical condition and is not expected to recover.  Beshear said although the Coronavirus is not the only factor in that individual’s condition, it is a contributing factor.
Governor Beshear urged people not to unnecessarily buy large amounts of food and household items, making it unavailable to others.
He also asked people to be responsible and not pack into restaurants and bars.  Beshear said he would be forced to follow Ohio and shut down restaurants if people do not listen.
Governor Beshear also announced that he tested negative for the Coronavirus on Saturday and is showing no symptoms after attending a recent event in Louisville where someone who attended later tested positive for the virus.
And Governor Beshear says 14 of the 16 Kentuckians who were aboard the Grand Princess cruise ship were on their way back to Kentucky Sunday night.  He added two other Kentuckians at a different Air Force Base are returning Monday.
