Pennyroyal Industries Rededicates Flowerbed To Lane Family

Forty people gathered in front of Pennyroyal Industries on Dawson Road Friday to participate in a ceremony to rededicate the flowerbed that has stood in front of the building since 1991.
The flowerbed has recently been reworked and refurnished led by Kevin Lane and his family. The flowerbed is now filled with fresh flowers with a new plaque on the front.
The flowerbed and Pennyroyal Industries hold a special place in the hearts of the Lane family with Sylvia Lane being a long-time supporter of the programs provided there and Kathy Lane being a client for many years. The rededication was in memory and honor of these two ladies.

Kevin Lane spearheaded the effort and planned the service.

Rick Morgan lead the opening prayer. He has fond memories of Sylvia and Kathy and feels it’s nice to honor them.

Brian Wainer spoke to those attending about how important and special it is to remember those who have passed on before us and Haylie Cruz sang “Just As I Am” which was Kathy’s favorite song.

Roger Felker served as the pastor for the Lane family. He has precious memories of the family and the love they showed him during that time.

Princeton Mayor Brock Thomas spoke and is grateful for the program and how it serves the community.

Pennyroyal Industries first started in 1966 inside the former Dotson High School building and moved to the current location after that building caught on fire. Lane and his family thanked the Princeton Rose and Garden Club for providing the flowers and the Princeton Optimist Club for helping with the new plaque.
